Wella SP Liquid Hair Treatment – Review
My hair has been through a LOT! A lot of styling, hair colors, chemical treatment, etc, etc. Result? Dry, damaged & brittle hair. Since I am trying to grow out my hair whilst keeping it healthy, I try and stick to best hair care products & treatments possible. So when I got an invitation from Wella for their “System professional Liquid Hair Treatment” I couldn’t wait to try it out!
WHAT IS LIQUID HAIR?
Liquid Hair is a molecular hair refilling treatment to reconstruct the hair fiber, reinforcing hair for up to 5 washes. The thermo activated formula refills the hair from the inside out and provides high performance through expert application.
Liquid Hair is infused with a Molecular Hair Refilling Technology based on the essential amino acids that strategically penetrate into the hair to restructure the damaged fiber. Inside the hair, the formula fills the gaps of the inner hair fiber where damage has occurred.
MY EXPERIENCE WITH WELLA SP LIQUID HAIR TREATMENT:
I got my treatment done at Placid Salon in Bandra where I was greeted by a hair expert who escorted me to different room. It reminded me of a spa room with dim lights, burning candles, aromatic fragrance and soft music.
She started by combing my hair using a ‘high frequency comb’ to increase the circulation of blood in my head. After which, she washed my hair using SP LuxeOil Keratin Protect Shampoo. I can’t describe in words how amazing it smells!
After cleaning my hair, I was taken back to the same room. The therapist towel dried my hair and applied a mixture of SP LuxeOil Keratin Restore Mask + SP LuxeOil Reconstructive Elixir. She started by creating small sections and applied an even layer of the mixture throughout my hair excluding the roots.
I was then put under a giant steam machine for 20 good minutes. I don’t like steamers and they make me super uncomfortable. However, she said it is necessary for the mask to penetrate deep inside my roots to work its magic! After 20 mins or so I got to try out a soothing head massage which almost made me fall asleep
After the relaxing massage, she washed my hair again to remove the mask.. After the wash, she took me to a hair station & towel dried my hair. She then divided my hair in few sections and placed the Liquid Hair bottle on the desk in front of me. Honestly, I was a tad bit disappointed after looking at the bottle. It looked nothing fancier than any regular serum bottle. I had my doubts but keeping all apprehensions aside, I couldn’t wait to see the final outcome.
Alright, back to the treatment, she divided my hair into few sections and started applying the liquid hair serum using the pipette evenly from root to tip. After applying few pipettes of liquid hair serum throughout my hair, she combed and blow dried my hair to lock the goodness of the product.
After the session, I could see and feel a drastic difference in my hair. My usual towel dried hair is dry & frizzy but post treatment; it felt smooth, silky and straight. I couldn’t stop running my fingers through my hair and wished it could stay like this forever. I’ve used many great hair treatments but I’ve never come across one that makes such an impact in such a short amount of time.
Overall, it is a luxurious pampering treatment for your dull, dry & damaged hair. Your hair gets a luxurious treatment which delivers a deep-restoring and light-weight effect on your hair, protecting hair keratin and transforming hair from inside out. For the ultimate pampering experience, this 60 minute indulgence offers therapeutic massage and steam, in addition to the deep-restoring treatment.
If your hair is damaged or dry from chemicals, over styling or ageing I urge you to give this a try. Wella SP Liquid Hair bottle is priced at INR 4500, ouch I know. However you get 100ml of product and it stays in your hair for up to five washes so one bottle should last you a very long time! Alternatively, you may have this as an in salon treatment (like I did) which is priced at INR 2500 for approx 60 minutes.
