I had stopped my Vellvette Box subscription after my April Box. Reason ? I thought Vellvette somewhere forgot about its commitment of delivering Luxury products and there was no customization in terms of products sent. Recently, I thought of giving them a second chance and subscribed to their 3 months subscription.

Things have changed so much since my last Vellvette box. Vellvette Box is now a BAG ! I quite like this change. The super cute pink and black polka dot bag is quite handy and is a perfect pouch for my makeup products in my handbag. Just like the box, every Vellvette bag is a theme bag which contains a welcome letter, 3 sample products and their info cards. The Vellvette theme for the month is ‘Band Baaja Baarat’ and I expected the products to reflect the theme.

Without further ado, lets check what I got in this month’s box, shall we ?

Following are the products I got in my November Vellvette Bag :

  • MUA Lip Boom – It’s a situation.
  • I Love… Mango and Papaya.
  • Kama Ayurveda Lavender Body Lotion.

Firstly, there is NO customization in my Vellvette bag. I don’t understand the point of filling up the questionnaire when I had never selected shower gel or body lotions in my preference. Secondly, what makes the Vellvette team think that MUA is a luxury product ? Even thought it is full-sized, I am not really happy to see it in my bag. I Love.. Mango and Papaya shower gel smells heavenly and I am looking forward to try it even though I didn’t ask for it. The only thing I really liked about the Bag is the Kama Ayurveda Lavender Body Lotion. I’ve actually used the same before and I think it is great.

My Vellvette Bag also had info cards for 2 products however, the info card for MUA was missing and instead I got a ‘Remy Laure DNA Beauty Cream + Vitamin C serum’ which again is a total waste and I had already got it in my March Vellvette Box. Why the repeat Vellvette ? Also, there were no discount cards this time. 🙁

Overall, I think it was a mistake to give them another chance. I don’t think I would ever subscribe to Vellvette Box again. Will you ?

Love,

Hina.

  1. I LOVE FAB BAG. I HAVESUBSCRIBING SINCE 2012. I BELIEVE IN MAKE IN INDIA AND OUR PRODUCTS ARE JUST AS GOOD.

  2. I shal never buy after seeing ur views

  3. How do I get myself a vellvette box? from where do I order. ?

  4. They used to send few products like Clinique & H20+ when they started off. However, now they are sending some sub-standard products, claiming them to be luxury brands!!

  5. Hi All…I Subscribed 1st time and in the first time i am fully disappointed and really thank god because i got one month subscription only…i received 3 samples, Kama Moisturizer which i have already full size bottle…uk eye shadow kit which quality is not so good..i tried to use dat product but totally disappointed…and third and last one is toner.

  6. I had thought of subscribing ! Now I am having second thoights

  7. The bag is received is completely different from yours and super DISAPPOINTING!
I got the beauty UK eye shadow palette, which I already have from September bag (as a gift from a friend). It’s strange to keep sending once shipped products! Feels like they are using the left overs and excusing themselves because they claim you didn’t buy it directly from us so we didn’t have information on you having the product already!
The second product received is the lemon n limes shower gel. I received a lemon shower gel (full size) in October too. So really sad to keep getting the same thing/fragrance again n again. And hard to believe that I couldn’t be given another smell or sown thing else!
The bag has no leaflets whatsoever so I have no information on the products. The Ofra toner is badly packaged with no manufacturing dates etc. I would never use it on my skin for this reason.
Feels like I paid full price of the bag for only a small sample sizes Iraya toner.
My October bag also had flaws. Gave me a leaflet with no product. I requested them for product and was told that leaflet is wrong and gave me a completely different product.
And the worst of all is the customer service which basically tried to justify their faults with sad excuses! What a waste! Cancelling my subscription and wouldn’t subscribe again!

    • Oh ! I am so sorry to know that Prachi. It is actually very wierd that they send the same products twice. I think they just don’t bother anymore. I’ve sent them an email and no reply yet. Super disappointed with the Vellvette Box / Team. I hope they read this.

  8. your bag is far better than mine.. I am disappointed with mine this month… I have used kama body lotion its good..

  9. I already have a 3 month subscription and i recived a MUA broken lipstick this time, really sad, i had high hopes with vellvette, i dont think i’ll renew my subscription with them ever again..

    • Same here Richa. Even though my lipstick isn’t broken, I don’t consider MUA as luxury or even bridge luxury. Vellvette team has disappointed me again and again and I’ve lost all my hopes with them.

  10. they’re getting worse day by day. every1 says the same but i guess Velvette is least bothered abt thier reviews
