SHISEIDO IBUKI PURIFYING CLEANSER – REVIEW

I have a combination skin which is more on the oiler side during summer. Finding a perfect face wash with the perfect balance to clear oil and maintain the pH balance is very difficult. I recently started using Shiseido Ibuki range and the purifying cleanser and become my HG cleanser already!

SHISEIDO IBUKI PURIFYING CLEANSER:

A purifying cleanser that contains micro-granules for gentle exfoliation.  This must-have cleanser lather quickly into a rich foam to remove harmful excess sebum and impurities without stripping away skin’s essential moisture. Large and small beads in purifying cleansing foam gently remove old surface cells and impurities from deep within pores and skin ridges while moisturizing ingredients keep the skin hydrated, supple, and soft.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
– Parabens
– Sulfates
– Phthalates

My Review on Shiseido Ibuki Purifying Cleanser:

Shiseido Ibuki Purifying Cleanser comes in a very basic off white tube with a screw cap and the name written on it. It does have a pleasant floral smell which I kinda like but if you are sensitive to smells, you may find it a  bit OTT. All in all, I find the packaging very sophisticated and travel friendly.

Apart from combination skin, I also have some visible pores which are more accentuated due to the heat. I’ve used this cleanser for over 2 weeks now and I MUST say that I am in love with it. To start with, you literally need half a pea-sized amount of the product to cover the entire face. It is creamy and the suds foams up amazingly well and even the half pea size product would be enough to cover to entire face, neck and hands. Not kidding, girls!

Shiseido Ibuki Purifying Cleanser also has tiny granules which are very VERY gentle on the face and works extremely good as a mild everyday exfoliator. When I used it for the first time, I felt a slight sensation and I knew that is cleaning my skin from deep within. The sensation continued for a couple more washes and now it’s not there anymore or maybe I just got used to it.

After washing, my skin feels SQUEAKY CLEAN. Shiseido Ibuki Purifying Cleanser makes my skin look bright & fresh. My face feels really soft, supple & refreshing and makes my pores visibly smaller. However, my skin feels very tight after cleaning and it has to be followed up by a moisturizer. Personally, I don’t mind it because I am using the softener and moisturizer from the same range and they compliment each other really well.

Overall, it is the BEST cleanser I’ve used by far! It gently removes all the dirt & impurities from  my skin leaving it soft, bright & squeaky clean. Due to the deep cleansing, my face does feel tight and a follow-up with a moisturizer becomes a MUST. People with very dry skin might feel it drying but I highly recommend it to anyone with combination or oily skin. You’ll love it!
