If you think you can put away that sunscreen in winters, think again. Sunscreen should be a part of your daily routine in every season. Hence, I am going to review Lakme 9 To 5 Hydrating Super Sunscreen SPF 50 which claims to offer hydration while keeping your skin protected from sun.

My Review on Lakme 9 To 5 Hydrating Super Sunscreen SPF 50:
I recently ran out of my L’Oreal UV Perfect Sunscreen and decided to give this a try before picking up my third bottle. Yes! I am obsessed with it. I love the fact that Lakme 9 to 5 sunscreen comes in two variants made for oily skin & normal to dry skin. Since it’s winters and my skin requires extra hydration, I decided to test the Lakme 9 To 5 Hydrating Super Sunscreen SPF 50.
Lakme 9 To 5 Hydrating Super Sunscreen SPF 50 comes in a rose gold-colored box and the same colored bottle inside. The bottle is tall & fat 😉 with a metallic gold cap on top. The cap fits securely and doesn’t open in the bag. However, I find it a bit big to carry it around. The bottle has a pump dispenser which works just fine.
The sunscreen is white in color and has mild citrus y fragrance similar to the other products from the 9 to 5 range. It has a lightweight texture and the consistency is neither too thick nor too thin. The sunscreen blends in easily without leaving any whitish cast on my skin. I usually take two pumps which is adequate to cover my face and neck. Over application makes it sticky and leaves residue behind.
I have a dry to combination skin during winters and it fails to keep my skin hydrated. Since it has hydration claims, I thought that I will be able to skip my moisturizer but well that’s definitely not the case here. It has a very high SPF of 50 and PA +++ which helps in protecting my skin from harmful sun-rays. Since I am not out in the Sun very often, I won’t be able to comment on the 9 to 5 claim but in my opinion, any sunscreen has to be re-applied after every 3 – hours.
Lakme 9 To 5 Hydrating Super Sunscreen SPF 50 PA +++ is priced at INR 500 for 30 ml.
