I was waiting for the fifth day to eat meat! I had missed it in the past four days, a lot! However, it didn’t go as well as expected. I lost 0.3 kg on the fifth day which makes it a total of 2.7 kgs in 5 days. I am still 0.3 kg short to reach my goal!

Diet:

Today is feast day. You will eat beef and tomatoes. Eat two 10 oz. portions of lean beef. Hamburger is OK. Combine this with six whole tomatoes. On day five you must increase your water intake by one quart. This is to cleanse your system of the uric acid you will be producing.

How it works:

Beef and tomatoes. The beef is for iron and proteins, the tomatoes are for digestion and fibre. Lots and lots of water purifies your system. You should notice colourless urine today. Your allowance calls for the equivalent of five “quarter ponders”. Do not feel you have to eat all this beef. You must eat the six tomatoes.

Day Five:

Like I mentioned before, I was really waiting for the fifth day so I can eat meat. I was too tired to cook chicken in the morning. Hence I had my tea in the morning and a tomato after 30 mins.

Later in the afternoon, I boiled some chicken with a hint of turmeric, salt, ginger – garlic paste, lemon juice & coriander. It was pretty decent and edible. I had the same boiled chicken in the afternoon along with 3 chopped tomatoes. Surprisingly, I couldn’t get all the chicken & tomato at once and had to divide it in two meals within a gap of 2 hours each.

I reached home late and didn’t feel like eating the same boiled chicken for dinner. Hence, I cooked myself a basic chicken soup with a tomato included it in. The soup was light & filling. I think my body has got used to eating less quantity at a time but I feel hunger after about 2 hours. I know that eating in smaller intervals is good and I am guessing that this diet is taking me at the right direction.

I wasn’t happy with the 0.3 kg weight loss and was expecting a bit more. However, something is better than nothing. I am just a little away from a goal and hope to reach it within the next two days! 🙂
