While the entire world is chopping off inches of their tresses, I am struggling to maintain them. It took me few years to grow my hair and there is nothing I hate more than killing them with a scissor. Well but damaged hair doesn’t leave us with a lot of options, right? WRONG!!! Why not fix them instead? Hair can be damaged quite easily, but it takes a little longer to repair it. Read below to find out how I maintain my length without cutting them off.

Summer is here and the unforgiving Sun doesn’t only damage your skin but it also takes a toll on your hair. Sun exposure, frequent hair wash, humidity, chemicals, heat stress, etc conspire to make your hair dull, dry & brittle. Although many stylists recommend snipping off damaged ends, you can take some steps to repair your damaged hair while keeping the length intact.

The best and most effective way to treat this would be to OIL your hair regularly. I have been using the Dabur Vatika Hair Oil as long as I can remember. I know my Mother uses it and so does my grandmother. However, the new variant of Dabur Vatika Enriched Coconut Hair Oil is not just the regular oil but is enriched with goodness of Amla, Henna & Lemon. Hence, this oil doesn’t only nourish your hair but also treats other hair issues like dandruff, split ends and hair fall.Damaged hair can be treated by restoring the moisture back into the hair. Without proper moisture and nourishment, hair becomes dry, brittle & prone to damage by Sun.

I like to warm up my hair oil before giving myself a nice head massage. Although, I like to keep my hair oil overnight, I do wash it after an hour if I have to go out somewhere. I also use it as a deep condition treatment twice a month. After rinsing it off, my hair feels soft, silky, healthy and beautiful. It also imparts a lot of shin to my otherwise dull tresses.  .

If you really want to see a difference then I recommend doing this at least 2-3 times a week. Go easy on the shampoo as shampoo strips all moisture from your hair. Also, don’t forget to condition your hair after every shampoo. J

Remember with any kind of treatments you will have to be consistent to see any results. I encourage you to throw away the scissors and try this method to repair and restore your beautiful hair.
