What do you do when you get an opportunity to be a part of an Exclusive Beauty Blogger’s revolution in the Country ? Read more to find out… FREAK OUT !! Lol, I am just kidding. I’ve been very fortunate to be a part of Beautiful’s exclusive Vlog On workshop organized by Hindustan Unilever India along with Youtube and Google India. Twenty Beauty / Fashion & Lifestyle Bloggers were picked from around the country to attend this workshop. BeBeautiful says : “The objective of Be Beautiful and Vlog On, is to identify India’s best and most passionate beauty bloggers and provide them with tools and programs to develop their video blogging skills, build their audiences, and monetize their videos.”
The workshop started at 11 Am and lasted till 9 PM. The session started by welcome speech by BeBeautiful’s Team Member (I forgot her name). After that, Google India gave us some input about the beauty blogging scenario in India with the help of a presentation. Did you know that there are 800+ beauty related search in India every minute ? After the informative session by Google, team from YouTube India helped us understand YouTube and it’s technicalities. He also gave us some tips on increasing the number of views & monetizing videos. Next up was Bumpy (Behind the scenes of MTV Roadies) from the The 120 media collective production house. His session was the BEST & FUNNIEST. He could really connect to all of us and made the entire session fun and interactive. He taught us the art of making video’s, lighting with do’s & don’ts while creating a video. Post that was the session by Ambika Anand, Fashion Editor – NDTV Good Times. Honestly, I really liked watching her shows, especially Band Baaja Bride. Unfortunately, her
session reading turned out to be very disappointing. She was supposed to make us aware about the latest trends and fashion picks. I didn’t understand a single word she said read. She also made some shocking statements which I would not like to discuss here. Anyways, from that day, I officially dislike her. The last session was by Clint Fernandes, Makeup Expert. He spoke about latest trends, inspirations and beauty scene in India. His session was extremely helpful. He welcomed questions from all of us and answered them patiently. Towards the end, we were all divided in a group of four to create video’s based upon our learning from the entire day. The sets were beautiful and we had so much of fun creating videos. The best part of the entire workshop was meeting fellow bloggers Samyukta ( I Simply Love Makeup), Jyoti (Everything That Matters), Ritu (The Indian Beauty Blog), Deeptima (Beauty Unleashed by Deeptima) & Apurva (Kalapalette). I met most of them for the first time yet felt like have known them forever. A bunch of sweethearts ! I will make another post with some amazing moments spend with them. 🙂 What do you think about this initiate by BeBeautiful, Youtube & Google India ?
